Due to the recent COVID-19 pandemic Worship services are cancelled and the church building will be closed until further notice. Please follow us on FB for updates and messages from Rev. Kelly Higgins. Whether you come on your own, with family or with friends, there is a place for you in our vibrant and warm community of faith. Our church family meets every Sunday at 11:00 a.m. for a service of prayer, music, laughter and fellowship. Our congregation is part of a deeply connected community that loves to spend time together. Following each service, we invite you to enjoy coffee, tea and fellowship with our warm and welcoming Gibson family.
I was a stranger and you welcomed me.” -Matthew 25:35
Gibson is so much more than Sunday worship. We provide pastoral care through the caring spirit of Rev. Kelly Higgins. Christian education is available through various faith formation programs serving all ages, including the children of our Sunday School. Our dedicated volunteers work behind the scenes, from managing our faith and ministry programs, overseeing building and property operations, or providing food, décor and support during funerals. And it is only through the many helping hands at Gibson that our Community Yard Sale and Breakfast and church suppers are widely anticipated by people of greater Fredericton. These events truly highlight the love and cohesiveness of our church family while allowing us to continue in our journey of faith and outreach. Our reward is truly in service.
If you are new to the Fredericton area, we invite you to visit us. Perhaps you will feel called to join our church. Or maybe you would simply like to explore whether Gibson feels right for you. Everyone is welcome at Gibson Memorial United Church. Please contact us by clicking on our “Contact” link, by calling our office at 506-457-1951, or during our Sunday worship service, please fill out the welcome form in your pew and we will contact you right away!
The purpose of Gibson Memorial United Church is to create opportunity for each individual within the church family to experience friendship, spiritual growth, fulfillment and faith in Jesus Christ through worship, study, fellowship, service to the community and mission to the world at large.
